A thermos flask can still be improved - as the Qool-Bottle from a southern German manufacturer aims to prove. The slim 500-millilitre container not only keeps water hot or cold, but also removes bacteria and germs from drinking water with a UV lamp in the lid. What's more, the bottle provides an effective acoustic reminder to drink regularly and shows the temperature of the interior in real time on the lid display. Is that over-engineering? Mobile induction hob
The PTS121 induction hob from Italian manufacturer CAN is specially designed for mobile use on board or in motorhomes. Weighing just three kilograms, the hob is comparatively light. It is also very compact at 30 x 37 centimetres. The height is just 2.4 centimetres. It has an output of 2,100 watts and is controlled via a touch panel, whereby the output and target temperature can be set.
