With the Bavaria Refit Panel 303, Philippi is launching a modern replacement panel for Bavaria sailing yachts. The panel can replace the panel installed at the shipyard without rewiring.

With the Bavaria Refit Panel 303, the German manufacturer Philippi offers a contemporary solution for owners of older Bavaria yachts who want to upgrade their on-board electrical system. The panel replaces the often problematic factory panel 303 exactly in the original dimensions and thus enables uncomplicated replacement without modifications to the wiring. Unlike the original Bavaria panels, which were often criticised in forums for their high power consumption, lack of reliability and overheating relays, Philippi relies on the latest technology with low power consumption and long-lasting components.

Pre-assembled cable set for easy installation

The Bavaria Refit Panel 303 is supplied with a pre-assembled cable set with multiconnector and accessories. The simple installation allows even experienced owners to install it themselves. The switch panel has 20 circuits and is equipped with a battery monitor, a 12-volt socket and a USB socket. The TIL tank interface is required to connect the factory-fitted tank probes, as Bavaria boats are equipped with so-called tuft probes. If there are two faeces tanks on board, the TIL2 is also required. The tank sensors operate in the range from ten to 180 ohms and can be connected directly to the panel.

Battery monitoring and deep discharge protection

The integrated battery monitoring system can be expanded into a fully-fledged battery management system with an optional SHE 300 shunt. The shunt is installed near the supply batteries, which are usually located under the saloon benches on Bavaria yachts. The switch panel offers protection against deep discharge and, in conjunction with a remote-controlled main switch, disconnects consumers at an early stage. Data from a solar system can also be displayed as an option.

1:1 replacement without modifications

The biggest advantage of the refit panel is its identical dimensions to the original 303 panel, which allows it to be replaced without any changes to the interior fittings or cabling. The dimensions are 265 x 210 x 70 millimetres. Shunt and P-BUS components must be ordered separately. The control panel is available immediately and costs around 950 euros.
