Three dinghies that couldn't be more different: The Oru Kayak is more suitable for exploring the bay. The Traveller is a classic dinghy, while the Mustang is a mixture of the two:
The latest model, The Beach from Oru Kayaks, has a larger entrance, can be folded or unfolded in just three minutes and is very stable in the water thanks to its width. The 370 x 71 centimetre kayak can carry a load of 140 kilograms; when folded, it measures just 81 x 71 x 33 centimetres and weighs 12 kilograms. As with the previous models, the outer skin becomes part of the transport bag when folded, so no additional cover is required. The Beach costs 1290 euros.
The Grabner company, best known for the Happy Cat, now also has two inflatable boats in its programme. The Mustang and Mustang GT models are both quite long at 4.50 metres, but with a width of 1.20 and 1.70 metres respectively, they are quite narrow. The smaller Mustang can be powered with a maximum outboard motor of 10 hp, the GT with 20 hp. Both models should also be easy to row. The Mustang weighs 30 kilograms and costs 2990 euros, the Mustang GT weighs 44 kilograms and has a price of 3590 euros.
Vetus now also offers inflatable boats. The VIB series is available in the Traveller version with a high-pressure floor or as an Explorer with an aluminium floor. Both are available in lengths of 230, 270, 300 and 330 centimetres. The air chambers are made of PVC with polyester reinforcements. The boats can be rowed or powered by an outboard motor. The smallest Traveller weighs 34 kilograms, the 230 Explorer 44 kilograms. Both cost 808 euros; the 330er costs 1114 euros.
