The new dinghies in the VIB series are called Traveller and Explorer. VIB stands for V-Quipment inflatetable Boats, the first word being a combination of Vetus and Equipment. The dinghies are made of PVC and are available in lengths of 230, 270, 300 and 330 centimetres. The Traveller model has a high-pressure floor, while the Explorer has an aluminium segment floor. There are no other differences between the two variants in terms of equipment.
The underwater hull is protected with a double layer of PVC material to prevent abrasion during beaching. Stainless steel D-rings are used for fastening when towing and for transport on davits or for lashing on deck. The inflatable boats can be rowed or propelled by outboard motor. The seat bench can be moved to find a suitable seating position for both types of propulsion. The 230 centimetre long models are designed for a maximum motorisation of 5 hp, the 270 and 300 models for 10 hp and the 330 model for 15 hp. According to the manufacturer, the smallest model measures 105 x 70 x 35 centimetres when packed, while all other sizes measure 115 x 70 x 38 centimetres.
The only difference between the Traveller and Explorer models apart from the design of the floor is the weight: the 230 Traveller weighs 34, the 270 44, the 300 48 and the 330 51 kilograms. The Explorer models for comparison: 230 44, 270 52, 300 59 and the 330 65 kilograms.
The prices of the two models are once again identical, ranging from 808 euros for the smallest to 1114 euros for the largest model. Bukh Bremen is responsible for German sales.
