First things first: the 22-litre compressor box costs 299.95 euros, the 40-litre version 369.95 euros. The latter also comes with a 12 to 230 volt converter. This is integrated in the small box so that it always works both in the harbour and at sea.
If shore power is available, it automatically recognises this and uses the 230-volt mains to conserve the batteries. The large box also works in the harbour using shore power, but requires a power supply unit for off-grid operation. This is included in the price and, if not required for the cool box, can also be used for any other 230-volt devices as long as their power consumption matches the capacity of the converter. Disadvantage: The additional conversion consumes around ten per cent more power.
As the manufacturer claims that a branded compressor is used, the power consumption should correspond to that of other speakers. It remains to be seen whether the insulation corresponds to that of other brands. If necessary, a solar panel can be purchased with the money saved. This would then be included, just like the box itself: Compass24.de
