Anchorage search with Navily
The premium version of the Navily app helps you find an anchorage and shows whether the bay is suitable for the current weather conditions

The French area guide app Navily has only recently become available as a premium version. For 9.99 euros per year, you can get up-to-date weather forecasts for your chosen mooring. This is particularly useful when looking for an anchorage. The app not only shows which wind directions the bay is suitable for, but also compares the information with the weather and swell forecast and creates a so-called protection score. This percentage makes it easy to recognise whether it is safe to stay overnight or whether a coffee stop is advisable. Alternatively, the anchorages can be filtered from the outset according to the weather conditions.

For each anchorage, the wind directions for which it offers protection and the nature of the ground are displayed. In addition to anchorages, the marinas are of course also listed, and accommodation prices can be called up and moorings booked at the connected marinas. The information on the harbours and anchorages viewed can be saved in offline mode so that the app can also be used without network coverage. The app currently focuses on the Mediterranean, but more and more harbours and bays in the North and Baltic Seas are being added.

The app is available for iOS and Android, but can also be used via the browser on a PC, albeit without a weather forecast and protection score.
