Thanks to the nine-axis gyroscope and GPS, the new race computer from Kohlhoff delivers precise course and speed values - for more than 30 hours

The display of the device, which weighs just 470 grams, has 33 millimetre digits and a red night light. The speed over ground is provided by the GPS and is said to be accurate to 0.1 knots. The values can be averaged in three stages for a smooth display. The electronic compass is said to have a resolution of one degree and, thanks to the nine-axis gyro, provides accurate heading information even when the boat is moving violently.

A start timer and a start aid with distance to the line are also on board. In addition, a true wind display helps to recognise wind shifts. All data can be transferred in real time via Bluetooth as an NMEA0183 stream to a tablet or laptop, where it can be used with other programmes or evaluated by the trainer, for example.

The configuration software available for PC and Mac can also be used to load waypoints and routes onto the NS360, turning the tactical compass into a fully-fledged navigation device. The NS360 is designed to work for over 30 hours on just one AA battery. The price is 599 euros, with a matching pole mount costing around 40 euros.
