Liontron launches a large 300 ampere-hour battery to replace six lead-acid batteries

Liontron is launching a new lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 300 ampere hours. The dimensions of 349 x 349 x 190 millimetres are typical for an under-seat battery for motorhomes; however, due to its relatively low height of just under 20 centimetres, it will also fit well under saloon benches. As the capacity of 300 ampere hours corresponds to around 600 ampere hours of lead-acid battery, the dimensions are relatively space-saving and the weight of 34.7 kilograms is significantly lighter.

The multi-app from Liontron automatically displays the various parameters of the previously selected up to four LiFePO4 batteries: including the state of charge, the current capacity, current and voltage of the batteries connected in parallel. The new 300 Ah battery costs 2765 euros.

The lithium batteries from manufacturer Liontron (ref: www.Greenakku.de ) want to score points with their particularly repair-friendly design. All components, such as the cells, the electronic battery management system and the Bluetooth module, are screwed together. The components can be replaced individually and the entire battery block does not have to be replaced. If a component needs to be replaced, this should be possible without special tools. The modular and sustainable battery design with replaceable components makes the batteries particularly durable. In addition to the five-year warranty, Liontron offers a repair promise for a further ten years.

The design basis of all Liontron batteries is the so-called "3 x 5 minute" concept. According to the manufacturer, this should enable each battery to be opened and tested for faults within five minutes. Each component can be replaced in a further five minutes so that the battery can be reassembled after another five minutes.
