Tablets have become valuable companions on board, for example as a supplement to map navigation. However, there is one problem: where to put them? The devices from Apple and the like are generally not very robust. Although there are suitable covers that protect the tablets from knocks and splash water, this does not solve the actual problem.
Ideally, the tablet should be positioned so that it is always easy to read. However, this is not the case with the iPad when the light is strong. This device provides a remedy: a plate that matches the width of the companionway is fitted with a holder that matches the tablet. It can be easily slid forwards and backwards and removed when not in use. When the sun is shining, the sliding hatch can be pulled over the holder. The tablet remains legible and is protected at the same time.
