Hempel's Infinity is the first refreshing agent for existing silicone coatings that does not contain biocides and is water-based. It has been specially developed to extend the life of Hempel's Silic One silicone system. Instead of repainting the hull every year, it is sufficient to treat the underwater hull with Infinity and thus renew the protective effect for another season. This has never been possible with any antifouling before.
The application of Hempel's Infinity is simple. The material is applied to the cleaned and dry underwater hull. As it is water-soluble and non-toxic, nothing needs to be masked off and you don't have to work particularly carefully. The only important thing is that no areas are left uncovered.
It should then be left to work for at least 24 hours, after which the underwater hull is rinsed with fresh water. After this procedure, the anti-fouling effect of Silic One should be restored and the boat ready for a new sailing season.
Behind the effectiveness of Hempel's Infinity is a patented technology that aims to reactivate the hydrogel in Hempel's existing silicone systems. This technology ensures that the hull remains smooth and fouling has no chance to take hold.
The best thing about it: according to the manufacturer, the process can be repeated as often as required. The only requirement is that the Silic One coating is not damaged. However, there is not much money to be saved. Infinity should cost about the same per container as a can of Silic One. On the other hand, the amount of work required for refreshing is significantly less than for a completely new coating, whether with Silic One or with biocide-containing antifouling.
