First test trip with the latest yacht from Hanseyachts AG, the smallest of the upmarket DS line

The design by Englishman Bill Dixon is characterised by short softchines at the stern for more stability and space, a voluminous deckhouse with a fixed floating bimini and a voluminous foredeck. The deck saloon and cockpit floor are on one level, the seating area in the saloon and the steering wheels are higher. The bulwark is raised. A steering position can be installed inside the navigation area.

The owner's cabin with plenty of storage space and a spacious bathroom is forward. Guests live amidships, where a second bathroom is possible. The stern area remains free and is fitted out with two huge lockers. Further storage space can be found under the galley.

The test will soon be published in YACHT. First photos here:

The wheels are positioned correctly for a good forward view; the helmsman looks over the roof or sideways past it
