Not only stylish, but also fast. The new Elan E6 shows what it can do in the YACHT test, and that is no small feat

For a long time, the yacht builders at Elan in Slovenia have maintained their performance cruiser model range with complete revisions and upgrades. Now the shipyard in Begunje na Gorenjskem is presenting a completely newly developed flagship. As usual, the construction comes from Humphreys Yacht Design, while the renowned Pininfarina studio is responsible for the styling. The Italians have given the new, large Elan an excitingly modern and unmistakable appearance and have also characterised the interior with a very special look.

Compared to the smaller models of the E-Line, the concept of the new ship is now trimmed for even more sportiness and performance. The rig is higher in comparison, the sail area is larger with a short overlapping genoa and the hull appendages with variants are deeper. The performance cruiser will also be available in a racing version with a carbon fibre mast for even more power. When it comes to the interior, the focus is on luxury, cosiness and comfort. The standard layout features a conventional layout with three spacious double cabins and two toilet rooms with separate showers. As an option, a Pullman cabin with two bunk berths can also be installed in the foredeck.

The YACHT test editorial team has already had the opportunity to put the new Elan E6 to the test. The current, comprehensive test report will then follow in issue 8/2022, which will be published at the beginning of April 2022. Until then, the first photos from the test in Slovenia are available below as an advance gallery.

Broad sport. Humphreys' design is almost as wide at the stern as it is in the centre of the boat. Double rudder blades are necessary and are generally part of the concept of Elan's sporty E-line
