The generation change at Hallberg-Rassy is in full swing. Following the Hallberg-Rassy 44 (YACHT 3/2017 test) and the Hallberg-Rassy 340 (YACHT 20/2017), the Swedes are now also implementing the new HR concept in a large boat over 17 metres in hull length. The new concept means even more volume in the hulls with bulky sterns and folding bathing platforms, double rudder blades and vertical sterns with fixed bowsprits - just to name the most striking and obvious innovations associated with the new model generation. In addition, the Swedes have realised a centre cockpit yacht with two helm stations for the first time ever.
The new Hallberg-Rassy 57 will initially be added to the yacht builder's programme in Ellös and will only replace the Hallberg-Rassy 55 in the medium term. The YACHT test editorial team had the exclusive opportunity to thoroughly test the large and proud ship on its home waters in the Swedish archipelago. The comprehensive test report will be published in theMagazine, issue 20/2018, which will be published on Wednesday, 19 September.
