De Cesari 33
Excellent sailing characteristics, visually appealing and also of exquisite design: the first photos of the test with the pretty De Cesari 33 from Italy

What comes out of the halls of the De Cesari shipyard in Italy is generally of an unusually noble nature. For 70 years, the traditional family business in Cervia on the Adriatic coast near Ravenna has been building boats of all kinds to customer order - exclusively from wood and using traditional craftsmanship. The shipyard has now completed a beautiful weekender that has what it takes to go into series production. The design comes from Giovanni Ceccarelli.

The De Cesari 33 is designed as a sporty daysailer or weekender with a convincing variety of possible uses. The remarkably good and sporty sailing characteristics qualify the racy Italian as a competitive and powerful regatta boat. The ten-metre vessel is equally interesting for touring sailing during a long weekend at sea, with a simple but nevertheless very cosy and exceptionally beautifully finished interior made of fine wood. And single-handed sailors will also get on well with this boat thanks to its easy handling.

The detailed test report on the De Cesari 33 can be found in YACHT, issue 5/2021; the magazine will be published on 24 February. We have already put together the first photos of the test on the Mediterranean as a gallery at YACHT online.

Graceful. The pretty rear characterises the look of the Weekender
