The world premiere of the new Hallberg-Rassy 40C will take place in January at the boat show in Düsseldorf take place. Before the presentation on the Rhine, shipyard boss Magnus Rassy wanted to put his latest boat through its paces in person and took the YACHT editorial team on board for an exclusive test.

The detailed test report will soon be published in the trade fair magazine, issue no. 3/2020. For those who don't want to wait until then, YACHT has already compiled the first pictures of the strong wind test as a gallery below.

In Düsseldorf, the new Hallberg-Rassy will then be located in the Hall 16, stand A54.

Editor Test & Technology

Michael Good is test editor at YACHT and is primarily responsible for new boats, their presentation and the production of test reports. Michael Good lives and works in Switzerland on the shores of Lake Constance. He has been sailing since childhood and, in addition to his professional activities, has also been an active regatta sailor for many years, currently mainly in the Finn Dinghy and Melges 24 classes. He is also co-owner of a 45 National Cruiser built in 1917. Michael Good has been working for the YACHT editorial team since January 2005 and has tested around 500 yachts, catamarans and dinghies in that time.
