Yachten Meltl and Hanse Vertriebs GmbH will be showcasing their major brands at the Boatshow Bernau on the first weekend of Advent

On Lake Chiemsee, 17 current yachts will be on display at Germany's largest in-house exhibition from 29 November to 1 December.

Bavaria is presenting the Cruiser 34, Cruiser 37, Vision 42 and the C45. Dehler will be showing the 29, the 34 and the 38, while Dufour will be represented with the 412 Grand'Large, 430 Grand'Large, 460 Grand'Large and 520 Grand'Large. Hanse is exhibiting the 315, 348, 388, 418 and 458. The Bente 24 will also be on display.

The programme is rounded off by other exhibitors from the equipment and service sector and various presentations. The programme includes CGI Finance, Elvstrøm Sails, Garmin, Hempel, Mastervolt, Nauti Sattler, North Sails, Pantaenius, Parasailor, Raymarine, SPW, Sunware, The Foiling Dinghy and Trempeck.

The Boatshow Bernau opens on Friday and Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00 and on Sunday from 10.00 to 15.00. Admission is free.

Fridtjof Gunkel was born on Helgoland in 1962; he started his sailing career there in the Opti and quickly switched to keelboats. North Sea Week, Cowes Week and Kiel Week were early stops, followed by many years in the Admiral's Cup scene on the cuppers “Container” and “Rubin” World Championships and international regattas in the Starboat, with the mini-maxi “SiSiSi” and various tonner yachts as well as participation in the Whitbread Round the World Race were further formative stations, flanked by extensive cruising trips. Fridtjof Gunkel joined YACHT back in 1985 as part of a traineeship, where he later became Head of the Test & Technology department and then Deputy Editor-in-Chief around 25 years ago. He is also responsible for the regatta and sports section. Fridtjof Gunkel privately sails a performance/cruiser moored on the Baltic coast, his favorite areas are the eastern Swedish archipelago and Brittany.
