DS yacht comparison test
Three boats with deck saloon in the YACHT group test. In part 2: everything about the sailing characteristics, the equipment on deck and the prices. In the PDF download

YACHT invited three current ships with deck saloons around twelve metres in hull length to Neustadt on the Baltic Sea for a comparison. Two ships from Germany, the Moody DS 41 and the Sirius 40 DS, as well as a yacht from Denmark, the Nordship 380 DS, took up the challenge. In the first part in issue 18/2020 of YACHT, we highlighted the very different approaches of the manufacturers to the deck saloon theme and compared the interior fittings. This has shown: Not all deck saloons are the same.

In the second part, the three test boats now have to prove what they can do under sail. On the comparative test bench: the layouts on deck, the functionality in handling as well as the equipment and details on deck. And last but not least, we took a closer look at the price lists.

You can read the second part of the comparison test in YACHT, issue 19/2020. DK-Shop available directly here digital or you can download the test (part 1 and part 2) directly via the link below.
