Typical for a shipyard, the Linjett 39 can also be manoeuvred in a sporty manner despite all the comfort - optionally with spinnaker or gennaker/code zero
The new model combines the traditionally high manufacturing quality of the Rosättra Båtvarv with more space and ease of use

The Linjett 39 was announced two years ago and now the shipyard has published the first sail pictures. The photos were taken during test sailing last autumn and show how clearly the 39 follows the current top model, the Linjett 43. In fact, the lines of the surface vessel have only been very carefully modernised. Only the increased freeboard compared to previous models indicates more interior volume. The 39 is a real novelty for the traditional Swedish shipyard; it was the first model in the Linjett series to be constructed together with designer Oscar Södergren as a hybrid of classic modelling and computer design.

Even though the shipyard was sailing with four men, the Linjett is actually optimised for small crews or single-handed sailing

All previous Linjetts were created with the help of hand-built models by shipyard senior Mats Gustafsson. Such a hull model was also the starting point for the 39. The lines were then digitised and further developed together with the son of the well-known designer Håkan Södergren. In this way, experience from the construction of the spectacular all-carbon racer Shogun 50 have been incorporated. The Linjett 39 has such a rigid hull structure that the position of the main bulkhead is not linked to the mast position, allowing a larger and more forward-reaching saloon. Purists may be annoyed by the fuller lines and, above all, the increased draught of the 39, but the shipyard previously considered a maximum keel depth of two metres to be ideal for sailing in the Stockholm archipelago. The 39 now exceeds this value by 15 centimetres.

However, the combination of high-quality construction, highly customisable fittings, simple operation and good sailing performance seems to be hitting a nerve with customers more than ever. According to the shipyard, ten yachts have already been sold, virtually from the drawing board - a very good number considering the Swedish company's manufacturing-like production.

Further information on the Linjett 39 is available here and with the Shipyard
