The number of premieres is highest in the larger yacht segment. This shows how attractive the market segment is and how strong the demand for it is

The performance cruiser group is particularly exciting. With theArcona 435theGrand Soleil 48 Performance and theX 4.6 X-Yachts will be presenting three new models at the trade fair, which have also been nominated for the 2019 European Yacht of the Year award. The three competitors are therefore not only vying for the interest of visitors at the trade fair, but are also vying for the most coveted award in the yacht industry. The DanishFaurby 460 E and theSolaris 44 from Italy. The two elegant and sporty boats will be on display for the first time in Germany and at an indoor trade fair.

Of particular interest should also be theOceanis 46.1 from Beneteau and theSunbeam 46.1 from Austria. Their exciting and extremely versatile concepts will appeal to a wide range of buyers. Both ships have also been nominated for the 2019 European Yacht of the Year award.

Michael Good is test editor at YACHT and is primarily responsible for new boats, their presentation and the production of test reports. Michael Good lives and works in Switzerland on the shores of Lake Constance. He has been sailing since childhood and, in addition to his professional activities, has also been an active regatta sailor for many years, currently mainly in the Finn Dinghy and Melges 24 classes. He is also co-owner of a 45 National Cruiser built in 1917. Michael Good has been working for the YACHT editorial team since January 2005 and has tested around 500 yachts, catamarans and dinghies in that time.
