The price includes German VAT, a built-in engine, double wheels and sails. Even hull windows and quite a few deck hatches are included, as is a recessed traveller. But it lacks a compass, instruments, a stronger mainsheet and the like. On top of this, some of the existing components in the basic equipment are undersized, such as the tanks. A maths problem for potential owners.
In terms of sailing, the basic version of the boat with its rather short mast is not very well equipped. A larger rig and more surface area are available as options, equipment that is also better suited to the boat's rather modern and quite independent lines.
YACHT had the opportunity to test the boat in varying conditions and was able to take a look at two different build numbers. The test will appear in issue 13.
