Narrow rocky bays are spectacular cruising destinations, like here in Jorja Bay
The Croatian island of Brac is a popular cruising destination in southern Dalmatia. Sailing around it is possible in a charter week and is an unforgettable experience. The travelogue in PDF-Download

Croatia's third largest island is a guarantee for a successful sailing trip, because it has a lot to offer: bays that cut deep into the land with perfect protection, sometimes surrounded by gently rising green hills, sometimes by steeply rising rock faces. Some bays are veritable rocky niches where there are only a few places to lie and where it is a unique experience. Those sailing around Brac have the mountain ranges of the mainland as a backdrop, with some nice little towns in between, such as the sculpture town of Pucisca or Milna with its good town harbour. The mix is just right, which is why crews love sailing here.

Those who make the circumnavigation with a detour to Solta, just a stone's throw away, can spend a perfect holiday. It's no wonder that the area near Split is one of the most popular in the Croatian Adriatic. Most crews start from Split, but an interesting alternative is the start from the mainland at Baska Voda, where there are only a few boats available. However, those who start here sail anti-cyclically to the crews from Split, which is an advantage.

In YACHT No. 4/2022, we describe the highlights of the island tour and give tips for the individual stops on the journey. The magazine is available at DK-Shop available. Or you can download the travel report directly via the link below.
