The ACI marina chain receives the licence for a 260-berth marina in Rijeka. The harbour is being built as part of a cooperation in which the German shipyard Lürssen is also involved

A city harbour with around 260 berths is to be built, some of which will be reserved for mega yachts. This is hardly surprising, as the project is a joint venture between the marina chain operator ACI and the tourism and hospitality company Gitone Kvarner Ltd, in which the German megayacht shipyard Lürsssen has a stake. The harbour, called Porto Baros, will be a five-star marina which, according to ACI, will set new standards. The concession for the harbour is valid for 30 years and the operators intend to invest around 48 million euros in the facility.
