The fundamental question of whether the relaxation of the Danish entry conditions for tourism from 15 June The problem of whether or not to allow sailing crews, whether charter or owner-operated, to cross the border from 15 June seems to have been resolved. However, this is subject to the same conditions as the tourism regulations, that bookings confirmed in writing for six nights in Danish harbours can be presented! However, the cruise is not allowed to enter the Copenhagen region, which remains closed for the time being.
In addition, crews are generally allowed to pass the national border if theya contract with a Danish charter company for a cruise from 15 June that lasts at least six days. The corresponding contract must be presented at the border as a reason for entry. This was confirmed by the owners of the Danish charter company Jim Søferie in Kerteminde when asked by YACHT. Here, too, the cruise may not go to Copenhagen.
It is also permitted to pass through Denmark asTransit if you are planning a holiday in Sweden, Norway or another country north of Denmark - but only as a transit, no overnight stays or stops are permitted! It is unclear whether and how this must be documented in writing.
"Transit through Denmark for the purpose of going on holiday outside Denmark, for example persons permanently resident in Germany who want to transit through Denmark for the purpose of going on holiday in Sweden or elsewhere in Germany, such as on Sylt, are deemed to have a worthy purpose of entry."
It can be assumed that this also applies to travelling through by boat, so anyone who sails through to Sweden seems to be safe.
German owners with permanent moorings in Denmark will probably also be allowed back into the country without restrictions from 15 June, as the newspaper "der Nordschleswiger" reports: A German sailor who has a permanent berth in Denmark and called the information number of the Danish police (see below) was told that he would be allowed to enter the country from 15 June!
