The rising number of coronavirus cases in Germany has prompted the Spanish government to categorise tourists arriving from Germany as high-risk guests. This means that crews travelling to the popular winter destination of the Canary Islands must now be able to present a negative coronavirus test upon entry. This must not be older than 72 hours, must also be issued in English or Spanish and the original document must be carried. In addition, the registration form that has been in use for some time must be completed before travelling. here can be downloaded and filled in or sent via IOS or Android app.
The Canary Islands have relatively low coronavirus case numbers and have therefore not been on the RKI's list of high-risk areas for some time. For crews, the area is therefore currently one of the few relatively safe winter destinations.
