Nodus has two exciting fittings in its range: a customisable adhesive padeye and a lightweight thimble

Low-friction rings are usually made of aluminium; the French company Nodus is now also launching models made of plastic. In the picture: on the right an anodised aluminium ring, in the middle also aluminium, but with a special Teflon coating, and on the left the synthetic resin version. The FR10, FR14 and FR20 sizes are suitable for diameters of 4 to 12 millimetres with breaking loads of 900 to 1600 kilograms.

With the Padeye SX, Nodus also offers an eye for sticking on deck or in the rig. The base measures 45 by 35 millimetres and is glued on with the separately available Nodus Loc. The manufacturer states a breaking load of 200 kilograms. The special feature is that the loop can be cut to length from a 30-centimetre-long strop before the base is glued on.

Thanks to the customisable length of the Padeye, the thimble could also be integrated into it, for example. Both products are suitable for creating a lazy-jack system, for example. The Padeye SX costs 8.90 euros and the low-friction ring from 3.90 euros.
