Despite the coronavirus regulations, the organising Friends of Classic Yachts This year, we decided to organise another major classic event in Laboe. Not all of the 94 registered yachts turned up, as the arrival day was characterised by weak winds. However, the harbour at Laboe on Kiel's outer fjord was well filled and the atmosphere was great, despite the strict regulations such as separate areas.

On the course, the long-distance regatta - the triangular regattas were cancelled this year - began in a calm, with only the occasional breeze setting the yachts in motion from time to time. As the day progressed, however, a steady easterly wind came into play, enabling the classics to be back in the harbour in time for the evening programme.
