Leo Sampson Goolden (Portrait in YACHT classic 2/2018 ) is worried about his restoration project - in the worst case scenario, he may have to move.
"Maybe it's time to tell you about what's been going on here for a while and what I'm facing. Because it could hit the project hard, and you are part of the project after all," says the visibly tense Leo Goolden to his viewers as he holds a thick envelope up to the camera. Sender: "Clallam County Department of Community Development, Clallam County Courthouse, Port Angeles".
Goolden runs his project on the property of friends. They have rented him the building site and their fully equipped carpentry workshop. Right from the start, however, the boat builder has to deal with the local administrative authority because a single neighbour complains about the noisy work.
According to Goolden, it is just one individual who has previously argued with his landlord about all sorts of things, as Goolden emphasises, who is supported by the rest of the neighbourhood. The carpentry business is authorised and adheres to the specified working hours.
In the envelope, Goolden now finds a request to vacate the site. In his latest video, the Brit explains the background and what the dispute could mean for his project.
