On the road with the new H-Boat from Saare
The shipyard in Estonia under German management has relaunched the over 50-year-old classic

The class association is delighted: the H-boat is being built again after a long period of inactivity by licensed shipyards. Shipyard boss Thomas Nielsen has taken over the proven good moulds from Austrian manufacturer Frauscher and brought them to the Baltic States. Saare Yachts, a manufacturer of solid, timeless centre-cockpit and aft-cockpit yachts, is now producing the GRP classic again. Modified, however: with a modern deck layout, easily remote-controlled clamps and a high riding beam. The prototype was already on show at boot Düsseldorf and attracted a lot of attention there.

The Saare H-Boat sets off with a family crew to the International German Championship from 12 to 17 October on Lake Baldeney. More about the class here and to the shipyard there.
