The largest sailing yacht from the Beneteau Group is a catamaran. The Lagoon Seventy 7 surprises less with its impressive dimensions of around 23 by 11 metres than with its comfort features, which turn it into a floating and sailing luxury flat. Three outdoor areas (front and aft cockpit and flybridge) with lounge and dining zones, a bathing platform that can be lowered at the touch of a button into a cooling draught between the hulls or directly into the water (with which the dinghy is lifted out of the water for cruising mode) and the deckhouse that merges seamlessly into the aft cockpit with day pantry, dining area and another lounge area provide a stylish setting for relaxed days in the harbour and even more so in the bay. Apart from the galley located in the port float, the hulls house the sleeping quarters, which can accommodate up to six people. The version we sailed with a master suite in the starboard hull is really comfortable. The master cabin provides the owner with a bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, lounge and large bathroom across the full width of the hull. And a big gimmick on request. A segment almost the size of a garage door can be folded out of the side wall by remote control and converted into a private bathing balcony above the water.
Oh yes: the holiday flat can also be sailed, and quite well too. The boat is steered and operated exclusively from the flybridge, which can of course be closed all the way round to protect against any weather influences.
