Susann and Gunnar Göttsche sailed around the world with their daughter Lotta for three years. After that, city life in Hamburg was no longer quite right for the family and they were keen to set off again. No sooner said than done - this time with a special boat: the "Thalassa", which once took blue water pioneer Bobby Schenk around the world.
When their wanderlust became overwhelming after their first long voyage, the Göttsches decided to go on another long voyage two years after their return from sailing around the world. And they started looking for a suitable boat. Then they got a tip from a friend: there was a boat for sale in New Zealand that met all their requirements.
It had a very well-known previous owner, Bobby Schenk. He called the ship his "dream yacht".
In the new issue of YACHT, the Hamburg-based company explains what they plan to do with the ocean-going catamaran. The magazine is in stores now, in the DK-Shop or digital directly here !
