The days are still cool, but they will come, the cosy summer evenings in the cockpit when it's far too nice to go to bed. It's better to listen to the lapping of the water or (hopefully) the distant sound of the halyards on the masts, the typical harbour noises, when everything comes to rest and the lights go on in the cockpits.
What is idyllic in the harbour is even indispensable when anchoring: a light that also works without shore power, where you can perhaps still read or that also creates a cosy atmosphere in the anchorage.

That's a different kettle of fish as far as brightness is concerned: with up to 400 watts, the high-intensity lamp illuminates Petromax HK 500*. It has a nostalgic look and is available in brass or chrome. It is fuelled with paraffin or paraffin oil. 199.90 euros.
Primus Polaris
The Primus Polaris* is compact and lightweight and shines brightly and evenly even at the lowest level. It is battery-operated and also has a handle so that it can be hung on the tree. 44.45 euros.
Uco candle lantern
Unlike the other products, the UCO lamp with candles: They are held in place by an integrated spring and pushed upwards. The lamp gives off a lovely warm light and can simply be put together when not in use. It is available in various colours, the brass version is available from 49 euros.
