Decathlon's own brand Tribord offers the inflatable sailing dinghy Tribord 5S . It looks like a large SUP, with the difference that there is a coaming that separates the cockpit so that sailors can't slip off the board even when the boat is lying down. The rig is very simple and the sail has a surface area of 5.7 square metres, but can be reduced to 3.0 square metres in stronger winds.
The three air chambers are designed to provide buoyancy for up to 160 kilograms, so two adults who are not too heavy can sail with it. It is steered using an attached rudder. Two fins are fitted under the board to prevent drifting and ensure a stable course. The Tribord 5S should also be able to stand upright on the beach like on chine keels. Small wheels are available as an additional option. Attached to each fin, they are designed to make slipping easier. They are then removed for sailing.
The Tribord 5S measures 308 x 140 centimetres and is packed in a 165 x 58 x 33 centimetre bag with wheels. The sail and rig come in an additional shoulder bag measuring 150 x 31 x 31 centimetres. This means that the 5S fits into a large boot. However, it's not quite light, as it weighs 46 kilograms when packed. Assembly, consisting of inflating the 5S and assembling the rig, is said to be completed fairly quickly in 25 minutes.
In addition to the rig, rudder and centreboards, there is a clicker in the Price of 2499 euros included . A pump is not included in the scope of delivery. If there is no dinghy or SUP pump on board, one must be ordered separately.
