With the Airtronic 2, Eberspächer has a new hot-air heater in its programme. The blower of the diesel-powered system is now equipped with a brushless electric motor, which should increase its service life. The fuel pump is also said to work more quietly, eliminating the ticking noise. The noise level is also to be reduced thanks to stepless regulation, as the heater is heated permanently at a low level at night instead of at full power at intervals.
The Airtronic is available in three versions: S2 Commercial with 2 kilowatts, M2 Commercial with 4 kilowatts and M2 Recreational with 4 kilowatts especially for pleasure craft. The latter has a more powerful blower and is therefore optimised for greater air throughput with longer hose paths into each cabin. The Airtronic S2 Commercial costs 1078 euros, the M2 Commercial and the M2 Recreational both 1327 euros.
