Not just hot air: new heaters from Wallas
The Spartan and Viking models are designed to work quietly and efficiently and can be controlled via smartphone. The Viking can also supply hot water on request

Thanks to their special burner, Wallas hot-air heaters are particularly quiet and fuel-efficient. With the introduction of brushless fan motors a few years ago, they have become even quieter. With the new Spartan and Viking models, the Finns are also focussing on networking. The current control panels with colour display can not only be connected and controlled with a smartphone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but additional temperature sensors can also be connected without wiring.

The Viking series consists of two models, the hot air version is called "air", delivers up to 3 kilowatts of heat and only requires 2.2 amps of electricity even when pre-heating. Price: from 1967 euros. The Viking-Combi model also has an integrated water heat exchanger. In addition to the 2.4 kilowatts of hot air, the heater also provides hot shower water.

The heater was originally developed for motorboats with outboards, where the boiler cannot be heated via the engine's cooling circuit. However, it should also be of interest to smaller yachts, as it also supplies hot water at anchor without the engine having to be started. Prices start at 2792 euros.

The top-of-the-range Spartan model replaces the tried-and-tested 40-DT heater and delivers between 1.7 and 4.5 kilowatts of power, with infinitely variable control. The heating air is drawn in via two inlets so that indoor and outdoor air can be mixed. Price from: 2331 euros.
