Biggest sailing festival in the world begins. Exciting regattas, huge entertainment programme

On Saturday, 21 June, at 7.30 pm sharp, the time has come again: this year's Kieler Woche will be officially opened at the Rathausmarkt. But the world's biggest sailing festival along the inner fjord will already begin on Friday evening.

YACHT is right in the middle of it all. On a newly created event area, the so-called Kai-City on the Hörn, there will be a daily YACHT stage programme in addition to numerous activities. Quiz shows and discussion panels with interesting guests from the national and international sailing scene provide entertaining entertainment.

Also on display at the YACHT stand is the half-model of a Hanse 311, which has already been presented at the major boat shows. It provides an unusually deep insight into the inner workings of a modern production sailing yacht. And anyone who wants to stock up on the latest nautical charts or informative sailing literature will also have the opportunity to do so at the YACHT stand.

While people celebrate along the inner fjord, the international sailing elite prepares for the regattas in Schilksee. Spectators have the opportunity to follow the races on the water on one of the support boats.

Incidentally, you will find the most important programme highlights from the several-page event booklet in the new YACHT ( Issue 13/2003 , on newsstands since Wednesday). Information on the latest race results can be found at www.kieler-woche.de to find.
