The numbers are impressive: 6,000 sailors from more than 50 nations in 2,100 boats. More important this year, however, is the quality, as the sailors from most countries are testing their equipment one last time before competing in the Olympic Games.
The Olympic part of Kiel Week 2004 (23rd to 27th June) will therefore be a test for Athens.
As always, the Aal Regatta of yachts will kick things off on Saturday, 19 June from 09.30 a.m. in front of the Kiel Yacht Club on Hindenburgufer for the 50th time. The international Kiel Week starts early on Saturday afternoon and continues until the award ceremony on Tuesday 22 June in the afternoon in Schilksee.
