State capital of Kiel completely redesigns website - simpler handling should make it easier for interested parties to access the sailing event

The organisers of the new KIEL.SAILING CITY website promise that there will also be more detailed information and reports. The famous sailing event, which has existed for 124 years and is now the largest sailing event in the world, will take place this year from 17 to 25 June.

"We want to show that Kiel Week is not a one-off event that is limited to the last full week of June each year," said Kiel's Lord Mayor Angelika Volquartz. Kiel Week has long since become an integral part of city life and "runs through the entire year in terms of its preparation and sustainability".

Through regular reports on www.kieler-woche.de, all interested parties can participate directly in the preparations and find out about programme highlights, innovations and activities on land and water.

During Kiel Week itself, the website also offers a "Live Centre". There, users can constantly call up the latest regatta events and keep up to date with the status of the individual races.
