Note

During COVID, we decided to move onto a sailboat and set up our dream boat—able to go anywhere. We have now lived and worked on board for five years and had amazing adventures. It’s now time for us to settle on land again and give somebody else the chance to live the dream.

This is a boat to sail year-round, everywhere—not to sit in the harbour. The main concept was to be independent: we did not go to marinas for weeks at a time! We make our own water with a Schenker watermaker, and we harvest a lot of solar power, which we store in eight LiFePO4 batteries. This is enough to cook, use the washing machine, have satellite internet, and power our electric outboard motor. In five years, we never ran out of electricity!

As I worked full-time while sailing, I needed a reliable internet connection. I even had video conferences while in the middle of the Atlantic.

This boat has sailed over 10,000 nautical miles—much of it with just my daughter and me. So it’s a very safe, easy-to-handle boat, set up for very convenient travelling. Even though we often had excellent, fast crossings, our focus is on arriving safely and comfortably. Sitting inside the deck salon while on watch—doing some work or reading, and cooking a good meal—is something we strongly prefer over standing out in the cold and wet.

That said, the boat has its wear and tear. But everything has been well maintained, works, and is tested—and the usual “defaults from new” have all been corrected. So you can hop on the boat and start sailing right away. While ordering a new boat is exciting, it also takes a lot of time to wait, specify, and fix everything.

The boat allowed us to do whatever we wanted: sailing in the Atlantic, exploring the shallow River Tejo in Portugal, crossing France through the picturesque canals, drying out on the Scilly Islands, sailing to the top of Iceland... I think few other boats would have made this possible. We are very grateful for what we experienced—still, it feels very sad to separate ourselves from our floating home.

I'm happy to answer your questions in English, German, French, Italien, Spanish, Dutch or Swedish, or we can have a video-call on appointment.

The asking price is indicative, it was calculated as "estimated price as new minus depreciation". Please feel free to make a bid according to your own evaluation.
