With over 250 yachts in various categories, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez celebrated its 25th anniversary in perfect weather conditions. The event in the Bay of St Tropez once again offered an exceptional week of racing for maxi, traditional and modern yachts.

Numerous trophies were awarded at the awards ceremony on Saturday and Sunday. Claus Peter Offen's "y3k" was the best Wally in Group A of the Maxis, with overall victory going to Peter Harrison and his Botin 75 "Jolt". Matteo Tacconi's "Marga" won the classics.

Meanwhile, the President of the organising "Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez", Pierre Roinson, emphasised the quality of the programme and the outstanding hospitality and stressed the importance of the support of all partners involved. Never before, said Roison, had he seen so many spectators and yachting enthusiasts on land and on the piers.

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez: Smooth running of the anniversary

Race Officer Georges Korhel praised the smooth and safe organisation of the regatta and the excellent cooperation with the yacht crews. "This anniversary edition went smoothly, especially in terms of safety, which is the first thing I think about in my role as race director. Apart from the collision, we had very little damage, which was also favoured by the conditions. Organising a regatta like Les Voiles over three rounds with so many different boats and speeds requires expertise, and as I congratulated our three race officers last night, I could only share the message of the crews heading home delighted with their regatta. We have broken new ground this year with a new scoring division for the modern yachts and we will continue this next year to make the fleets even more unified and to avoid groups that are too small, which is detrimental to the legibility of the event in competition."

The next edition of the "Voiles de Saint-Tropez", organised for the first time in 1999 by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, will take place from 27.09.-05.10.2025.
