Eilean Ban is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36.2 which was built in 1998 by Jeanneau Newco and designed by Jeanneau’s in house team which was led by French designer Jacques Fauroux. The model was introduced in 1996 and was produced until 1999 with well over 300 boats built. Eilean Ban has been privately owned since new and has been lovingly maintained throughout her life. She is presented in very good condition and is a genuine sail away package with a continuous record of updates and renewals in recent years.  She has a fin keel and a spade rudder with wheel steering in an aft style cockpit.  Standing rigging replaced 2010 and new sails in 2012.

Hull and Construction

Designed by Jacques Fauroux and built by Jeanneau Yachts France in 1998 and launched in 1999.  The hull deck and superstructure are all in white GRP and the hull has been epoxy treated (preventative) from new.  Deep fin keel with bulb with cast iron ballast, spade rudder with Whitlock rod wheel steering in an aft style cockpit.

Six berth in 2 cabins, comprising 2 double berths and 2 single berths.  Interior is finished teak and blue upholstery with Eberspacher heating in all cabins and 12v lighting.

The forward cabin has a double berth with ample storage space in lockers beneath the berths.  There is a wash basin on the stbd side and a hanging locker to port.

The main saloon has 1.8m of headroom and features a "U" shaped single settee berth to std with a fixed table and a single settee beth to port.

The galley is to stbd aft in the saloon just forward of the aft cabin and is "L" shaped featuring an Eno 2 burner cooker with oven, 1 and 1/2 stainless steel sinks facing forward with hot & cold pressurised water and a top loading fridge unit.  There is ample work surface areas for food preparation.

The navigation station and chart table are to port with the chart table and seat facing forward.  Ships electrical panel is to port at the navigation station and there is also a weather station.

The heads compartment is aft of the navigation station to port and features a wash basin with hot & cold pressurised water and good storage space below in a locker.  The heads and shower are aft and separated by a glass screen.

Owners aft cabin is to stbd aft of the saloon which has a large double berth and a hanging locker.  There is also good access to the engine compartment.


Volvo Penta MD2030 29hp 3 cylinder inboard marine diesel engine with shaft drive to 2 blade fixed prop.
